Working together

A great rollout is a partnership.
Here's what to expect from ours.

01 / Ownership

What stays on Nostra's side, and what you'll self-serve from your portal.

The runtime infrastructure is fully managed. You don't need a platform engineer or a Cloudflare account to run Nostra — and you won't be asked to touch DNS rules, edge workers, or our internal monitoring.

Managed by Nostra

Infrastructure we own end-to-end

  • DNS and DNSSEC postureWe handle the routing and signing configuration that brings traffic onto our edge.
  • Cloudflare zone configurationThe underlying CDN setup that powers your delivery layer.
  • Edge worker, transform pipeline, and cache layerThe runtime that decides what gets cached, transformed, and served.
  • Debug investigations and performance analysisAnything happening inside Nostra-internal systems is on us.
  • Webhook plumbing for automatic invalidationRoutine Shopify events — product, inventory, and collection updates — invalidate cache automatically.
  • Trial operationsCohort assignment, telemetry, and day-to-day monitoring during your trial.

Your Nostra portal

What you'll have direct access to

  • Per-path TTL configurationTune cache durations across your store, page class by page class.
  • Manual cache clearsPush a fresh state when you need it — promo launches, theme deploys, sensitive content swaps.
  • Your own trial observabilitySee how Nostra is performing across your real traffic, in real time.
  • Audit recommendationsThe pre-trial audit surfaces specific, store-shaped recommendations. You apply them through the portal.
02 / Categories

Where we may ask for your time.

These are the seven areas where customer-side input occasionally matters. Not every category applies to every store — your pre-trial audit identifies the ones that are relevant to you. Each row notes who from your side we'd want at the table when it comes up.

01
Shopify theme
Targeted theme adjustments — typically small changes rather than rewrites. Section-level, script-level, or template-level edits to make sure cached pages render the way your shoppers expect.

Who we'll need

In-house theme owner or agency, authorized to ship theme changes during the trial.

02
Consent & privacy banner
Wherever consent law applies — the EU, the UK, and a growing list of US states (California, Virginia, Colorado, Connecticut, Utah, with more emerging). We'll confirm your CMP vendor, review the config, and sometimes adjust how the banner is wired into the theme.

Who we'll need

Whoever owns the consent / privacy banner config — often the same theme owner.

03
Apps & integrations
Currency and locale switchers, geo-redirect apps, A/B testing tools, page-builders (GemPages, Replo, PageFly), and some review or loyalty widgets occasionally need small config tweaks on the app side to play well with edge caching.

Who we'll need

Your app-config owner — and sometimes the app vendor directly.

04
Currency & locale strategy
For multi-region stores: how regions are bucketed for caching, and how your pricing strategy interacts with our cache. Worth a brief conversation before traffic starts flowing through Nostra.

Who we'll need

Your commerce or merchandising owner.

05
Cache duration & TTL
You apply per-path TTL changes from your Nostra portal. We surface recommendations from the pre-trial audit — for example, low-traffic page classes that never warm under default TTL — and your team approves and ships them.

Who we'll need

A decision-maker for site performance or engineering with portal access.

06
Page weight & site quality
When top pages ship unusually heavy HTML, we'll raise it as universal page-quality advice — not Nostra-specific. It's worth flagging before your team notices it on their own; Nostra accelerates what's there, but lighter pages always win.

Who we'll need

Your theme owner.

07
Multi-region verification
Your QA or marketing team may spot-check trial behavior from your users' jurisdictions, particularly anything legally sensitive — consent UI, currency rendering, regional pricing.

Who we'll need

QA, marketing ops, or a trusted partner in the relevant region.

03 / In practice

Your audit decides what's relevant.

The seven categories above are the universe of things that might come up — not a checklist we'll run against your store. Your pre-trial audit produces the specifics: which areas are in scope, in what order, and what good looks like for your traffic profile.

Currency strategy is irrelevant to a single-locale store. Consent banner is critical for any store with non-trivial traffic from consent-required jurisdictions. We lead with what's relevant to you.
