Part 1: The Problem

Credo Beauty had built one of the most trusted names in clean beauty - but their site speed was quietly working against them. Collection pages, product detail pages, and even the homepage were loading slowly, with Time to First Byte (TTFB) exceeding one full second on key pages. Their largest collection page clocked in at 1,014ms, and the homepage wasn't far behind.

In ecommerce, slow pages don't just frustrate shoppers - they cost revenue. Industry data shows that bounce rates climb steadily as loading speed increases, jumping from around 30% at sub-1-second loads to over 50% when pages take 9.5 seconds or more. For a brand built on curation and trust, every extra millisecond of load time meant potential customers bouncing before they ever saw a product.

Credo Beauty's team knew speed was a problem, but they needed more than a gut feeling. They needed a way to both improve speed and clearly understand its impact on real customer behavior and revenue

Part 2: The Solution

Credo Beauty partnered with Nostra to tackle site speed head-on. Nostra's edge delivery engine was deployed across Credo Beauty's entire Shopify storefront, optimizing TTFB and page load times without requiring any changes to Credo Beauty's existing codebase or design. 

But Credo Beauty didn't stop there. To validate that the improvements were real - and not just noise in the data - they brought in Noibu, an independent ecommerce analytics and monitoring platform. Noibu's Performance Monitoring product tracks Core Web Vitals using real customer data, segments performance by page type and device, and quantifies how performance impacts revenue across the site. Critically, Noibu has the ability to dive deep into exactly where things are slow - tracing performance regressions back to their root cause so issues can be resolved before they impact conversion.

With both solutions in place, Credo Beauty's team ran Nostra on and off to measure the difference with a neutral third party watching. Because Noibu was already embedded in their workflow, the impact was immediately visible within the real-time data their team relied on every day, and the results were unambiguous. 

Noibu's monitoring allowed Credo Beauty to clearly isolate Nostra as the driver of performance improvement, while also establishing an ongoing system to monitor, validate, and optimize site speed over time.

Part 3: The Results

Over the last 90 days, the numbers told a clear story.

Revenue per visitor increased by 3.1% - driven entirely by site speed improvements. No new campaigns, no redesigns, no pricing changes. Just faster pages converting more shoppers.

Across Credo Beauty's top 10 highest-traffic URLs, TTFB improved by an average of 70%. The homepage alone shaved off 400 milliseconds - a 46% improvement that means shoppers hit content nearly twice as fast. The largest collection page saw the most dramatic shift: from 1,014ms down to 219ms, a 78% reduction that fundamentally changed the browsing experience for Credo Beauty's highest-intent shoppers.

The story doesn't end at faster load times. Because Noibu is an ongoing part of Credo Beauty's performance stack—not a one-time audit—the team can continuously monitor how site performance evolves and how it impacts key business metrics like bounce rate, engagement, and revenue.
